Engineer app

What this page is for

The engineer app is the phone version of Trade Sure for people in the field. It shows your day, the job details and lets you record the work as you go. Engineers see it as soon as they sign in. It opens at the address of your Trade Sure site with /m on the end.

Do the common things

Install it on your phone

1. Open the app address in your phone's browser and sign in.
2. On iPhone, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, tap Install when the banner shows.
3. Open it from the icon on your phone.

Do a visit

1. Open Today. Tap your next visit.
2. Tap On route when you set off. The customer can see you are on the way.
3. Tap Start visit when you arrive.
4. Add notes, photos and parts as you work.
5. Tap Finish visit when you leave.

Take a signature

1. On the visit, open the signature box.
2. Ask the customer to sign with their finger.

Take payment on site

1. On the visit, open Payment.
2. Choose a pay-by-link code, cash or card taken, or send the invoice now.

Record your time

1. Open Timesheet.
2. Tap Clock in at the start and Clock out at the end.

Ask for time off

1. Open Me, then Time off. Choose the dates and send.

Good to know

• Your phone saves your day, so you can still see it with no signal. Changes send when you are back online.
• Location is only used when you tap On route, Start visit or Finish visit. It is kept for 90 days.
• If a job needs another visit, tick Follow-up needed when you finish. The office is told.

If something looks wrong

• The page says Offline: you have no signal. Your work is saved and will send later.
• A visit is missing: ask the office to check it is assigned to you.
• You cannot sign in: ask the office for a password reset link.
